Agriculture and cannabis, two different calendars under one roof
This category groups two distinct event worlds: farm and crop-production shows, and cannabis industry events. On the farming side, anchor events include the Sioux Falls Farm Show, World Ag Expo, and Farm Science Review — each tied to a state or regional growing economy rather than one national gathering. On the cannabis side, Spannabis and MJ Unpacked anchor coverage, with Spannabis based in Europe and MJ Unpacked in the U.S. market — a reminder that "cannabis industry" coverage here spans more than one regulatory environment and buyer base.
Season and geography
The combined calendar concentrates in September, with secondary clusters in January, October, and December — a spread that reflects the two underlying industries running on different schedules rather than one shared trade-show season. Locations skew toward Midwest and Plains cities for the farm shows, such as Sioux Falls, while cannabis events reach further internationally, including Barakaldo, home to Spannabis.
Two subtopics, two audiences
Because these are functionally separate industries sharing a parent category, it's usually more useful to start from a subtopic rather than this combined view: Agriculture & Farming for equipment dealers, producers, and crop-science attendees, or Cannabis Industry for cultivation, retail, and cannabis-product exhibitors. Picking the right subtopic first will narrow the show list to your actual industry rather than mixing farm machinery buyers with cannabis retailers, since the two groups have almost no overlap in venue, timing, or attendee profile despite sharing this parent category.
