The shape of the Food & Beverage show season

Food and beverage is one of the busiest categories on ConventionGrid, spanning coffee, restaurant and foodservice, and general specialty food events across the year. Coffee alone accounts for several anchors, including Specialty Coffee Expo and World of Coffee San Diego, next heading to New Orleans. On the foodservice side, International Restaurant & Foodservice Show comes to New York in March. Newtopia Now lands in Denver in August, while Summer Fancy Food Show remains an anchor show in the catalog even though its next date isn't yet listed.

Season and geography

August is the calendar's busiest stretch, followed by a cluster in late winter through spring — January, February, March, and April all carry multiple events. Geographically the circuit favors a handful of repeat hosts, with Los Angeles carrying more than one show alongside a broader West Coast and South leaning footprint.

Choosing which show fits

Because this topic covers such different buyer types, the fastest way to narrow it down is by specialty. Coffee professionals have a dedicated Coffee subtopic, and restaurant and foodservice operators can go straight to Restaurant & Foodservice. Attendees new to the space can use the August and spring clusters as planning anchors, then layer in a specialty subtopic once they know which side of food and beverage — coffee, foodservice, or general specialty products — matches what they sell or source. A Beverage subtopic covers the drinks side of the industry separately from coffee, which is useful for anyone whose interest sits closer to packaged beverages than to the cafe and roaster side of coffee shows.
