Anuga 2027

October 9, 2027 - October 13, 2027
Cologne, Germany

About Anuga

One of the world’s largest food and beverage trade fairs attracting global exhibitors and buyers every two years.

Anuga 2027

Anuga runs 9–13 October 2027 at Koelnmesse, Messeplatz 1, Cologne. It occupies halls 1–11 plus Confex, and is organised by Koelnmesse GmbH. Anuga is biennial — it runs in odd-numbered years.

You will be asked to prove you work in the industry

Anuga is open to trade visitors only, and unusually among trade fairs it enforces this at the point of sale: proof of industry affiliation must be provided when buying a ticket — an extract from the commercial register, a trade licence or similar. This is not a badge you can talk your way into on the door. Sort the documentation before you travel.

Ten trade shows under one roof

Anuga is not one show but ten, each with its own halls and its own buyer base. This is the structure to plan around:

  • Anuga Fine Food
  • Anuga Drinks
  • Anuga Chilled & Fresh Food
  • Anuga Meat
  • Anuga Frozen Food
  • Anuga Dairy
  • Anuga Bread & Bakery
  • Anuga Hot Beverages
  • Anuga Organic
  • Anuga Alternatives

The organiser describes the combination as the largest global marketplace for food and beverages.

Scale

Anuga 2025 drew 8,015 exhibitors across 290,000 m² of gross exhibition space, and 145,000 visitors from more than 190 countries — the organiser's figures, and explicitly for the 2025 event rather than a projection for this one.

On-site programme

Beyond the halls, the organiser runs a substantial programme of features and conferences:

  • Anuga taste Innovation Show
  • Anuga Organic on Stage and the Organic Supermarket
  • Anuga Halal Market and Anuga Kosher Market
  • Anuga Trend Zone
  • Anuga HORIZON Stage

Separate conferences sit alongside these, including the Anuga Halal Forum, the Frozen Food Conference, the Tomato News Conference and the Forum System Catering. Awards include the Bestseller Award and Ecotrophelia.

For exhibitors: the build schedule is long

Stand construction runs from 29 September, more than a week before the doors open, with halls open around the clock from 5 to 7 October and build-up ending at 8pm on 8 October. Dismantling begins at 6pm on the final day.

Who Should Attend

The organiser defines its admitted audience precisely, and it is worth reading before assuming you qualify.

Decision-makers from food and beverage wholesale and retail — management, purchasing and procurement, market management, sales and marketing.

Trade cooperations, drugstores and health food stores.

Food import and export businesses, and trade representations.

The food industry and its suppliers.

The out-of-home market — hotels, classic and system gastronomy, catering, and company, communal and social catering.

Canteen kitchen planners and the specialist trade for canteen kitchen technology.

Nutritionists and employees of nutrition institutes.

Two practical notes. Admission requires documentary proof of industry affiliation at the point of ticket purchase. And with ten shows across eleven halls, planning by product segment rather than by exhibitor list is the difference between a productive visit and a long walk.

Who Should Exhibit

The organiser admits manufacturers, importers and wholesalers of food and beverages, providers of catering-trade technology, service providers to food retail and gastronomy, and trade agencies.

In practice that means:

Food manufacturers across all ten segments — the segment you apply into determines your hall and therefore your visitors.

Beverage producers, both alcoholic and hot beverages.

Importers and exporters looking for international distribution.

Private label manufacturers.

Organic and alternative protein producers, who have dedicated shows rather than a corner of someone else's.

Halal and kosher producers, served by dedicated markets.

Catering and gastronomy technology suppliers.

A Start-up Area exists for companies not ready for a full stand. Note the long build window: halls are accessible from late September, which matters for anything requiring refrigeration or complex construction.
