DISTRIBUTECH International 2027

DISTRIBUTECH — branded DTECH by its organiser — runs March 1–4, 2027 at the Georgia World Congress Center, 285 Andrew Young International Boulevard NW, Atlanta.

What it is

DTECH is the transmission and distribution industry's main annual gathering: the grid itself rather than generation. Its subject matter is grid automation, distributed energy resource management, metering, control-room operations, and the software and cybersecurity wrapped around all of it. It is produced by Clarion Events Energy, and the show each year works with a host utility in the region.

On the organiser's own figures the show draws more than 18,000 professionals and 684 exhibitors, with over 490 speakers and more than 800 utility attendees. Those counts are published on the 2027 page but may describe the most recent event.

Plan four nights, not three

The organiser's recommended travel dates are worth following, because the programme does not fit neatly into the show days:

• Arrive Sunday, February 28. The event opens in the morning of Monday, March 1 with partner programmes and networking — arriving Monday means missing the first block.
• Depart Friday, March 5, after programming finishes on March 4.

Book housing through the official partner

The organiser publishes a standing warning that unauthorised housing companies contact exhibitors and attendees offering rooms. Book through the official housing partner; unsolicited approaches offering DTECH room blocks should be treated as suspect.

It moves cities

DTECH does not have a permanent home. The 2028 event goes to New Orleans, Louisiana. If Atlanta does not suit, the following year is a different city entirely.
