About High Point Market

The world's largest home furnishings industry trade show held biannually in High Point, North Carolina. Spans over 11.5 million square feet with 2,000+ exhibitors showcasing furniture, lighting, textiles, and décor.

High Point Market Fall 2026

High Point Market runs October 17–21, 2026 in High Point, North Carolina. It runs five days, Saturday through Wednesday.

It is not a convention centre show

This is the single most important thing to understand before booking. High Point Market has no exhibit hall. It takes place in permanent showrooms spread across 13 city blocks of downtown High Point, which the organiser divides into seven colour-coded neighbourhoods:

  • Commerce Concourse — the Transportation Terminal where every shuttle arrives, plus the 11-storey IHFC building, Showplace, and Center Stage.
  • Hamilton Wrenn North — described by the organiser as "the five-star part of Market": high-end, design-oriented makers.
  • North Elm — walkable and designer-oriented, with Congdon Yards, The Generator woodworking resource, and the Stock + Grain Assembly food hall.
  • Market Square & Elm — the Suites at Market Square (which hosts Shoppe Object), the Antique & Design Center, and the Market Square Tower.
  • Russell & Green — the widest span, from value importers to luxury designer lines.
  • Downtown Main — the original IHFC Main, National Furniture Mart, Furniture Plaza and Plaza Suites.
  • Centennial Wrenn South — multi-tenant buildings including Market On Green and the four Center Point buildings.

The organiser puts the total at more than 11,500,000 square feet of showroom space. Every neighbourhood is served by numbered stops on the Green and Red shuttle lines.

Hours — and Wednesday is short

Showrooms are open 8am to 7pm Saturday through Tuesday, and 8am to 5pm on Wednesday. The last day closes two hours early, which is worth checking against a return flight.

Trade only

High Point Market is not open to the public. Admission is restricted to the trade, and children under 15 are not admitted at all.

Buyers, media and exhibitors register at no charge; industry passes carry a fee, and a non-refundable processing fee applies to any buyer or industry pass requested on site after online registration has closed. Register before that cut-off and the surcharge does not apply.

Onsite registration is available, at 220 Elm, Centers of High Point (Hamilton C&D), Furniture Plaza, all four IHFC entrances, Market Square, Plaza Suites, Showplace and Suites at Market Square.

Getting there, and why you should not drive downtown

Do not put a showroom address into your GPS. Downtown parking is limited and some streets are closed during Market.

The organiser directs all drivers to the Park & Ride at 921 Eastchester Drive, with free continuous shuttles to the Transportation Terminal at 210 East Commerce Avenue. No parking is provided at the Terminal itself.

Airport shuttles are free. Reservations are required from Charlotte and Raleigh, but not from Greensboro — Greensboro is the closest airport and the one that needs no planning. High Point sits about 85 miles north of Charlotte and 85 miles west of Raleigh/Durham.

Accessibility

Accessible parking is available at both Park & Ride locations, and an accessible shuttle to the Transportation Terminal can be requested by phone. Mobility scooters and wheelchairs can be rented on site, outside the High Point Theatre in the Transportation Terminal.

Twice a year, and the dates are published years ahead

Market runs in April and October only; showrooms otherwise open by appointment. The organiser has published dates well into the future:

Year Spring Fall
2027 April 10–14 October 23–27
2028 April 22–26 October 21–25
2029 April 21–25 October 13–17

Who runs it

The High Point Market Authority, a body dedicated to the Market itself rather than a commercial exhibition company, based at 164 South Main Street in High Point.

Show Highlights

Not a convention centre — 13 city blocks of permanent showrooms in seven colour-coded neighbourhoods.

11,500,000+ square feet of showroom space, on the organiser's figures.

Trade only. Children under 15 are not admitted.

Wednesday closes at 5pm, two hours earlier than the other four days.

Park & Ride is effectively mandatory — downtown parking is limited, streets close, and no parking is provided at the Transportation Terminal.

Airport shuttles are free, but Charlotte and Raleigh need a reservation and Greensboro does not.

Buyer, media and exhibitor passes are free; an onsite processing fee applies after online registration closes.

Held every April and October, with dates already published through 2029.

  • Home accessories and décor

Who Should Attend

Admission is trade-only, so the audience is defined by the badge rather than by interest.

Retail buyers in home furnishings — the primary audience, and the one the free buyer pass exists for.

Interior designers and design firms, particularly in Hamilton Wrenn North and North Elm, which the organiser positions as the design-oriented neighbourhoods.

Merchandisers and product developers tracking what the industry will carry next season.

Buyers of rugs, lighting, fabric and case goods, concentrated in the Market Square Tower.

Antique and reproduction dealers, for the Antique & Design Center.

Trade media, who register free through MediaLink.

Two practical notes. Because this is a district rather than a hall, a day here involves real walking and shuttle time between neighbourhoods — plan by neighbourhood, not by exhibitor list. And children under 15 cannot attend, which rules out combining the trip with family travel.

Who Should Exhibit

Exhibiting at High Point Market means occupying a permanent showroom, not booking a booth for the week — a materially different commitment from a hall-based show, and the reason the exhibitor base is weighted toward established brands.

Furniture manufacturers and importers — upholstery, case goods, outdoor.

Rug, lighting and fabric brands, whose buyers concentrate in the Market Square Tower.

Home accessory and décor suppliers, including through Shoppe Object in the Suites at Market Square.

Antiques, reproductions and European imports, for the Antique & Design Center.

Made-in-America upholstered goods, well represented in Russell & Green.

Which neighbourhood a showroom sits in shapes who walks through it: the organiser markets each one to a different buyer, and the shuttle lines determine how easily a buyer reaches you. Temporary space is available in the Suites at Market Square for brands not ready for a permanent showroom.
