Spielwarenmesse is the world's biggest toy fair — the trade-only event where the global toy industry sets its year. Thousands of exhibitors across every category (traditional toys, games, model railways, licensed product, outdoor play) show their new lines to buyers from well over a hundred countries, and the fair's trend showcases are the industry's annual forecast of what will sell.

Attendance is strictly trade. For toy retailers, distributors and licensors, Nuremberg in early February is the fixed point around which the buying year is organised.
