BookCon

BookExpo was North America's largest book-publishing trade show — the annual meeting where publishers showed their forthcoming lists to booksellers, librarians and the trade press. ReedPop discontinued it in December 2020, along with its consumer-facing sibling BookCon, after the pandemic forced both online. BookExpo has not returned, and no revival has been announced. What did come back is **BookCon**, the consumer event, which ReedPop revived for April 18–19, 2026 at the Javits Center in New York — its first in-person event since 2019. It is a reader-facing show rather than a trade one: author signings, panels and a show floor aimed at the public, not at buyers placing orders. This page covers BookCon's 2026 return.
