The Annual Wellness Summit is the successor to the National Wellness Conference, created when the National Wellness Institute and WELCOA merged to form the Wellness Alliance. It remains the annual gathering for wellness professionals focused on advancing evidence-based wellness practice in communities and workplaces.

That event no longer runs under its own name. The National Wellness Institute merged with WELCOA to form the Wellness Alliance (an affiliate of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans), and their respective conferences were combined into the Annual Wellness Summit. The old nationalwellness.org conference page now redirects to the Wellness Alliance site.

What the summit covers

The programme serves wellness practitioners across settings — workplace wellbeing, health promotion, coaching and community health — combining the NWI tradition's practitioner focus with WELCOA's corporate wellness constituency. The host city moves each year; the 2026 event was held in Nashville in late July.
