The shape of the Fitness show season

The fitness industry's trade calendar concentrates around a handful of recurring shows spread across the fall and early spring. Athletic Business Conference & Expo opens the season in November, heading to Orlando. The spring brings two events close together: Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus and The Health & Fitness Association Show in Las Vegas, both landing in March.

Season and geography

March is the busiest point on this calendar, carrying two of the three anchor shows, with November providing a smaller fall touchpoint. Geographically the circuit doesn't repeat cities — Orlando, Las Vegas, and Columbus each host one show — so attendees building a travel plan should expect to move between regions rather than returning to a single home base.

Choosing which show fits

The three anchor shows serve somewhat different audiences within fitness. Athletic Business Conference & Expo leans toward facility operators and program administrators, the association show in Las Vegas speaks to the club and health-association side of the industry, and Arnold Sports Festival draws a broader mix that includes strength sports and consumer-facing programming alongside its trade floor. Exhibitors deciding where to spend a limited travel budget can use that split as a filter: a company selling into gyms and fitness facilities may get more out of the November or spring association gatherings, while brands with a strength-sports or athlete-facing angle may find Arnold Sports Festival's audience a closer match. Because the spring cluster lands in the same month, attendees covering both the association show and Arnold Sports Festival should plan travel around that overlap rather than treating them as separate trips months apart.
