The Pharmaceutical show year at a glance

The pharma calendar splits between vaccine- and biologics-focused meetings and broader drug-development or pharmacy-operations gatherings. World Vaccine Congress USA and BIO International Convention anchor the biologics side, while CPHI Americas is built around pharma ingredient sourcing and manufacturing. ASM Microbe centers on microbiology research, AAPS PharmSci Annual Meeting & Exposition covers pharmaceutical sciences more broadly, and NCPDP Annual Conference is scoped to pharmacy data standards rather than the lab bench.

Season and cities

Dates concentrate in late spring: May and June each carry two of the catalog's near-term events, bracketed by a March date and an October date. The shows land in Washington, Miami Beach, Chicago, Scottsdale, Philadelphia, and New Orleans rather than repeating in one host city, so which city comes up depends more on which show fits your work than on a fixed regional pattern.

Choosing a show

Buyers sourcing ingredients or contract manufacturing should look first at CPHI Americas; teams working vaccine or biologics programs will find more relevant sessions at World Vaccine Congress USA or BIO International Convention. Pharmacy-systems and data staff are better served by NCPDP Annual Conference than by the research-oriented ASM Microbe or AAPS PharmSci meetings, so match the show to the part of the pharma pipeline you actually work in before booking travel. Because these events don't repeat in the same city year to year, it's worth confirming venue and dates on each show's own page rather than assuming last year's location holds.
